Told Pat I’d only sit on a restaurant patio if there was a jacaranda close enough to drop petals in my coffee… He claims it was “pure luck,” but the way he picked this table? That’s a man who’s learned not to interrupt my morning café de olla ritual. Pretty sure the universe sent extra sunlight just to spotlight my efforts at not spilling cinnamon all over my favorite skirt. Meanwhile, my other half holds court with the most philosophical thoughts about marigolds and carbs (yes, he’s actually meditating on pan dulce). We’ll call it a lifestyle, he calls it “brunch with Vivi.” Either way, I’m keeping him and the coffee.

kenneth-hayes-rivera: You two look like you’re starring in a commercial for café-hopping parents who actually know how to chill. Next time, save me a concha (or at least some of that sun). (3/14/2026, 4:54:21 PM)
patrick-andrew-hayes: Ken, you know there's always a seat waiting for you (and a concha with your name on it) if you can get up early enough to catch us. We'll even share the sun, just bring your camera for proof. (3/14/2026, 4:55:17 PM)
patrick-andrew-hayes: Wouldn’t be the same without that look from Vivi across the table. Every good cup of coffee is better when we share the sun and the stories. (3/14/2026, 4:55:02 PM)
viviana-hayes-rivera: I’d say it’s the caffeine, but you always get extra smiles on the patio. Thanks for putting up with my café ramblings, even when the stories get wildly off-script, Pat. (3/14/2026, 4:55:09 PM)
