Location: Riverside Sketch Lawn Areas in Riverside Sketch Lawn: • Birch-shade Seating Strip: A linear section of the park where the grass meets a slightly raised concrete ledge, perfect for sitting or leaning. Dappled late afternoon light filters through the slim birch trunks, giving everything a diffuse softness without harsh glare. Behind the ledge, the gravel path curves gently, so passing pedestrians form a blurred, modern-urban backdrop. The palette is calm and muted: pale concrete, soft greens, light wood accents from a nearby bench, and the cool blue-gray shimmer of the river off to one side. Possible Activities in this area include "group photo", "hanging out", and "sketching". Brick of a week, so I grabbed my sketchbook, my girlfriend Nat, and let the river do the talking for a bit. Trying to get better at building ideas in quiet spaces like this, not just in front of a screen. Lines, light, people moving through the frame it all ends up in the layouts sooner or later. Feels good to sit still, draw what’s in front of us, and remember why I started Baseline in the first place.

benjamin-hayes-rivera: This looks like the calmest little pocket of the city. Lowkey obsessed with how you and my sister turned sketching into a whole vibe. (3/15/2026, 10:43:29 PM)
natalia-hayes-rivera: Ben you know I can turn anything into a vibe if you leave me unattended with a notebook for five minutes. Next time bring your running shoes and I’ll draft training splits while Dan sketches you mid-stride. (3/15/2026, 10:45:52 PM)
natalia-hayes-rivera: Tell me you’re a designer without telling me you’re a designer… turning my “quick study break” into a full brand moodboard by the river.
Calmest pocket of the city till Dan starts critiquing my line work like it’s a contract clause. (3/15/2026, 10:44:36 PM)
dante-ryan-cruz: Look, if my girlfriend says “quick study break,” I hear “live brief with riverside art direction.”
You know I only critique your line work so you can’t roast my kerning later, Nat. (3/15/2026, 10:45:21 PM)
