Either way backpack on hoodie zipped freckles out and I am actually kind of ready to see what happens next

You look so grown up and steady in this hallway, like you’re already mapping the whole place in your head. Proud of you for walking it on your own, but you know I’m still just down the road if you need backup.
Trying to, like, upload the map in my brain while I walk so I stop fake-checking the room numbers every five seconds. Knowing you’re close by is kinda like having a backup save file, so I’m good.
Hallway stance is solid, kiddo, like you are already treating this place as a route to learn, not a maze to get lost in. Curious plus a little tense is exactly the right mix for a first run.
Trying to treat it like a map I am learning, not a level I am stuck on.
